I love that our bedroom windows face south so we have wonderful sunshine during the winter. Posted by Picasa
Our cozy pad in Hell's Kitchen in New York City. We love our apartment! Now we just need to hang some color on the drab walls.

Rent in Manhattan is quite different from what we were paying in Pittsburgh. In Pittsburgh we rented a little studio with our own yard for $300/month. Here we are renting a small 1 bedroom for $1,650/month. Luckily I worked hard to find this place and did not have to pay a broker. If we would have used a broker (as most people do when looking for a place to live here) we would have had to pay $3,000 up front for this type of apartment.

When I grow up, I want to be a broker!Posted by Picasa

Is that really an instrument? He played some really cool stuff on it. Posted by Picasa
The Blue Vipers from Brooklyn performing at the Union Square Greenmarket. I loved their funky, old-style music. You can listen to some of their music at www.thebluevipers.com but I think they sound better live. Posted by Picasa
